JEE
Main is the first stage that you need to succeed in order to take your IIT
dream forward. Lakhs of students write JEE Main exam every year and only very
few candidates are selected for the next stage that is the JEE Advanced exam.
That means around 85% of the candidates, who wrote the JEE Main exam won’t be
able to attend the JEE Advanced exam. What to do if you have qualified in the
exam and what to do if you haven’t qualified? It is better to find out answer
for both the questions before you attend the main exam. Here are a few
suggestions, which will be beneficial for the JEE aspirants:
- Start your JEE Advanced preparations: If you are the one among the other
remaining 15% who are qualified for the JEE Advanced, then start your
preparations right away. JEE Advanced is for those who aims to get
admitted in any of the IITs, IISERs, IIS, IIST and ISM Dhanbad. There are
around 10,000 undergraduate seats available at 16 IITs across the country.
- Prepare for JEE Main Counselling: Even if you didn’t make it to the
second round that is JEE Advanced, you still have the chance to get
admission in some of the best engineering colleges across the country. If
your score is over 80-90, you have a great chance to participate in JEE
Main counselling.
- Concentrate on other entrance exams: There will be many other engineering
entrance exams happening in the same month after JEE Main. So you can
practice for that coming entrance exams.
- Prepare for counselling through other exams: You may also have appeared for many other
state or university level engineering entrance exams and their counselling
can also happen at the same time. So you can prepare for them as well.
- Review yourself and prepare for next year’s JEE: If you are that much passionate about
IITs and you wish to pursue your graduation there itself, then don’t
hesitate to give out one more try next year. But, before that you
should review yourself and understand all the mistakes, which you had
committed in previous year’s JEE Main exam. Then start your preparations
at the earliest.
